Apparently condemning them is too hard for Maine's top Republican legislators.

From the Bangor Daily News:Senate President Mike Thibodeau, R-Winterport, said Thursday evening that he and the other Republican legislative leaders thought Terry’s proposed language went too far because it discusses giving law enforcement agencies “tools that they need to investigate, detain, arrest and prosecute these groups for the crimes they commit or plan to commit as acts of terrorism.”

What a wuss.

As I read the news story, the issue under discussion isn't "condemning" Neo-Nazis. Who doesn't condemn Neo-Nazis?

Rather, the proposed legislation changes the legal status of certain Neo-Nazi organizations. Apparently, Mike Thibodeau has a principled objection to encouraging prosecutorial overreach.
